Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Brother Shamas Files Defamation Case Against Actor’s Wife Aaliya; Reveals They Were Friends

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Aaliya Siddiqui, who recently decided to end her marriage, filed a complaint against the actor’s brother Shamas Nawab Siddiqui for outraging of modesty, breach of peace and stalking. She had earlier accused Shamas as well as Nawaz’s other brother Faizuddin Siddiqui of misbehaving and spying on her. Well, according to TOI’s report, Shamas has now filed a criminal defamation case against Aaliya at the Magistrates Court.

He revealed that he has known Aaliya, who has now changed her name to Anjana Pandey, since before Nawaz did. In fact, he is the one who introduced the couple. He was friends with Aaliya and never even called her ‘bhabhi’. He stated, “When she called me that her film ‘Holy Cow’ has been stuck due to funds, I gave her money with an agreement of Rs 1.30 crore. However over a course of time I had to transfer more money which now amounts to Rs 2.16 crore. We have had so many email exchanges with me asking for my money.”

Shamas went on to add that the actor and he have always supported Aaliya and he didn’t have anything to do with their divorce. But he is taking action now because he is being accused wrongly. Shamas had earlier claimed that he was unaware about the fact that Aaliya had filed for divorce and got to know about it through news channels.
