Neetu Kapoor Remembers Rishi Kapoor A Month After His Death With A Song, 'Wish Me Luck As You Wave Me Goodbye...'

It has been a month since Bollywood lost a gem of an actor in Rishi Kapoor. The veteran Bollywood star has been constantly remembered by his family and fans since his passing with his daughter Riddhima posting heartfelt memories with him from her childhood and his days with the Kapoor family.

Today, Neetu Kapoor to remembered her late husband with a lyrics from a classic Vera Lynn song and wrote, “Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye Cheerio, here I go on my way With a cheer, not a tear, in your eye Give me a smile, I can keep for a while In my heart while I'm away."

The actress posted these moving lyrics with an old photo of her and Rishi twining in denims and navy blue shirts. Several Bollywood celebs posted hearts on Neetu’s dedication to her late husband.

Neetu Kapoor had accompanied Rishi Kapoor to New York where he spent over a year for treatment back in 2018 and had returned to India cancer-free. The actor succumbed to his two-year-long battle with Leukemia and passed away on April 30 in Mumbai. The actress had shared a family statement that said that he died peacefully and entertained the medical staff at the hospital to the last.  It also mentioned how the actor wished to be remembered with smiles and not tears.
