No Award, No Performance Says Shahid Kapoor, Stomps Out Of An Award Function?

Shahid Kapoor cancels his pre-committed performance last minute when he came to know that it’s not him but Ranveer Singh who is winning the Best  Actor award at the recent ceremony.

The actor was all set to stage on fire with his performance and had even rehearsed for the same, however, he was upset with the organizers for the last minute change and decided not to perform at the ceremony and even walked out of the venue.

Allegedly, at the eleventh hour, the members of the awarding body had to find some other actor of Shahid's league and then they approached Varun Dhawan who agreed to help.

The Times Of India quoted a source close to the development as saying, "Shahid Kapoor was supposed to perform at the award function but the minute he realised that Ranveer Singh is winning the award as the most popular actor for 'Gully Boy' he threw a major tantrum and walked out of the ceremony. "

The report further stated that another source close to the actor denied the rumours and the same report quotes the other source as saying, “Shahid is a thorough professional and a man of his words. Therefore, even though the doctor had advised him bed rest, he tried to fulfil his commitments for a recent award ceremony to the best ability. Although he again fell severely ill, Shahid didn’t want anyone to suffer any kind of loss.''
