Not Just Nana Patekar, These People Too Disappointed Us With Their Insensitive Take On The Tanusree Dutta Issue

if you have been living under a rock, you would probably know the way Tanushree Dutta has shaken up things in Bollywood.Her accusing veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexually assaulting her during the shoot of a song in 2008 has brought out many sides of Bollywood and the Bollywood celebrities. While there are many who have shown explicit support to Tanushree, there have also been people like Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan who have refused to comment on the matter.

However there are some, whose reactions have totally baffled us. Whether Tanushree Dutta is right or wrong is not the consideration to be made here, but these celebs have disappointed us big time by being insensitive about a matter as serious as this. Here are the ones we are talking about.

Shakti Kapoor

When asked about the on going controversy that has shaken the Bollywood, Shakti Kapoor though a cheeky reply would be a good idea. He said he was a kid back when the incident took place in 2008. If that was his attempt at being funny, then we have little to say, but joking about a matter so serious was probably not in the best taste, especially for a person who himself was charged with a serious case of casting couch back in the year 2005.

Rakhi Sawant

One can hardly expect Rakhi Sawant to have a mature take on matters and we have come to a point where her antics have stopped surprising us altogether. But, the stance that Rakhi Sawant has taken in the Tanushree Dutta case is just incredibly disappointing. Rakhi, who later shot the same song when Tanushree walked out of it said that Tanushree is lying and it was due to her being under the influence of drugs that she could not shoot the song. The drama queen has also revealed that she has been receiving threats for supporting Nana Patekar in the case and has even lodged a formal police complaint about the same.

Farah Khan

Being one of the most prominent women directors in Bollywood, Farah Khan's reaction on the issue has been quite confusing. Farah is presently shooting for the fourth installment of the superhit comedy franchise Housefull which has Nana Patekar in it. As if her silence on the whole matter was not bad enough, she recently posted a picture from the shoot with her cast that includes Nana and pretended as if nothing has happened. Tanushree Dutta's team released an official statement in which she said that it was deeply saddening to see a women director be so insensitive to the issue.

Akshay Kumar

This one is probably the most shocking name on the list. Even in her explosive interview, Tanusree mentioned that things will never change because even after such serious allegation superstar like Akshay Kumar will go on working with Nana Patekar. Not only has Akshay not given a statement about the matter but he has continued his shoot for Housefull 4 with him as if nothing has happened. It is all the more baffling because Akshay's wife, Twinkle Khanna has explicitly spoken about the matter and has sided with Tanushree.
