    Filmmaker Amit Rai and actor Pankaj Tripathi took their much awaited film Oh My God 2 on floors in Mumbai on 1st September. It was reported that Tripathi, who is headlining the social comedy, will be wrapping up all his solo scenes in the coming days and will later be joined by Yami Gautam, the female lead. Akshay Kumar, who will be reprising the role of Lord Krishna after 9 long years for the sequel, will begin shooting for OMG2 next month. Well, some juicy new details about the story have now been revealed!

    In a report shared by Bollywood Hungama, a source revealed, “While the first film was based on religion, Oh My God 2 will be based in the Indian education system. Pankaj Tripathi will be seen playing the main protagonist while Akshay Kumar will return in his previous role as Lord Krishna.” The source further shared, “The story of the film has been crafted in such a way that it will lend itself to the involvement of Akshay's character, integrating the two seamlessly. The movie will also explore topics such as exam pressures and college admissions.”

    For the uninitiated, OMG – Oh My God, written and directed by Umesh Shukla, was an official remake of Australian film The Man Who Sued God. It followed the story of a middle-class atheist named Kanji Lalji Mehta, played by Paresh Rawal, who decides to sue God after his shop is destroyed because of an earthquake.
