Paatal Lok's Ishwak Singh Reacts On Casteist Controversy; Says, 'There Are Always Some People Who Get Affected'

Anushka Sharma’s Paatal Lok is receiving rave reviews for the performances and the gritty storyline. It has garnered praises not just from the critics but from the audiences as well. The web series, however, is being frowned upon by a segment of the audiences.

A legal notice has been sent to Anushka Sharma for using a casteist slur in the web show. There is one word that has been used in the web series that offends the Nepali community and many have been negatively affected by it.

Viren Sri Gurung, a member of the lawyer’s guild told PTI there wouldn't have been an issue had only 'Nepali' been used. However, the word following that is unacceptable, mulled Gurung. Therefore, the notice has been served to Anushka as she is one of the producers of Paatal Lok.
