Pakistani Actor Adnan Siddiqui Mocked On Live Show For The Death Of Indian Co-Stars Irrfan Khan, Sridevi; He Issues Apology

Pakistani Actor Adnan Siddiqui who was seen in the Bollywood film Mom was invited to a talk show titled 'Jeeway Pakistan' where the host of the show Amir Liaquat joked that the Indian co-stars with whom he worked died. The matter became big controversy and after the show was aired for being insensitive to the dead.

Siddique worked with actor Irrfan Khan in the Hollywood film 'A Mighty Heart' and with Sridevi, the actor worked in the film 'Mom'. Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29.

In the much talked about episode, Amir Liaquat is seen asking Adnan why didn’t he work in Mardaani 2 opposite Rani Mukherji (which he was offered), to which Adnan replied, because “They had changed my role. My role was that of the main villain and thereafter, I was given the role of a police officer so…”

Aamir thereafter said, “Thank God, you didn’t work in Mardaani 2 and Jism 2, if you would have worked in the films, Rani Mukherji and Bipasha Basu wouldn’t have been in this world by now. For you, two lives have been saved. How were they saved? To which Adnan replied, “I don’t know how are they saved.” Liaquat further said, “Look, you worked in Mom, Sridevi died. Adnan replied, “I feel sorry for that…” But before he could complete his statement, Liaquat pitched in saying, “You worked with Irrfan Khan, he passed away too. Now you were offered Mardaani 2, you didn’t do it, otherwise, she (Rani) would have died too!” He further stated, you were offered Jism 2 as well, and you didn’t accept that even. Therefore, these two actresses (Rani and Bipasha) owe their lives to you!”

Adnan Siddique was visibly taken aback and his discomfiture was apparent then and he asked Amir to explain what he just said. That’s when Amir Liaquat went on to say, “As I said, you worked with Sridevi in Mom and she died and after that, you worked with Irrfan Khan and he passed away too and therefore Rani Mukherji and Bipasha Basu have been lucky.”
