Coronavirus crisis has far and wider consequences than just health.  The pandemic is impacting global economies as businesses remain shut down and lockdowns imposed. In India, the daily wage workers are the worst affected and as the nation went in for total lockdown of 21 days the news of workers heading home on foot from Delhi has jolted many.

Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra shared the heartbreaking footage of the news where a man can be seen carrying his baby on his shoulders and walking home with his family as the state borders remain sealed. She used the opportunity to point out to those privileged people who have been complaining about the self-quarantine at home to see how blessed they really are.

On Twitter, Parineeti wrote, “All those insensitive, privileged people sharing how difficult this quarantine is for them, have some shame. You are blessed.”

Over the past several days Bollywood celebs have been urging fans to stay home to stop the further spread of the coronavirus. Several stars have also been contributing towards initiatives aimed at supporting daily wage workers and even towards the cause of improving health care facilities that would help combat the virus.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday evening announced a 21 days complete lockdown in the nation which will be followed till 14 April 202.
