Patal Lok Actor Asif Basra Found Hanging In A Private Complex In Dharamshala, Suicide Suspected

Actor Asif Basra who was last seen in the web series Patal Lok and was found dead at a private complex in Dharamshala on Thursday, 12 November. As per reports, Basra committed suicide on Thursday in his home in McLodganj, Himachal Pradesh, near a cafe located on FC Gibada Road.

According to a statement by SSP Kangra Vimukt Ranjan, "Film actor, Asif Basra was found hanging in a private complex in Dharamshala. The forensic team is at the spot and police is investigating the matter."

 As per a report, he also had a foreign girlfriend living with him. The reason why he took the alleged extreme step has not been disclosed yet. Bollywood celebs including Manoj Bajpayee and Hansal Mehta expressed their shock over the demise of the 53-year-old actor.

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta was among the first ones to react to this shocking news he wrote, “Can’t be true... This is just very, very sad,”. Actor Manoj Bajpayee took to his Twitter handle to express his grief, he tweeted, What? This is too shocking!! Shot with him just before Lockdown!!! Oh My God!!!

Asif featured in the second season of Disney+ Hotstar series Hostages. He also starred in Amazon Prime’s Paatal Lok, which released earlier this year. Asif has also been seen in films such as  Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Krrish 3, Jab We Met,, Ek Villain, and many others.
