Payal Ghosh Asks Mumbai Police Why Anurag Kashyap Hasn't Been Arrested Yet, Threatens To Go On A Hunger Strike

Payal Ghosh who only a few days ago accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexually assaulting her had turned to the Mumbai Police and has already registered an F.I.R against him. She is now questioning why hasn’t he been arrested yet. Payal whose Me Too claim date back to 2014, has accused Kashyap of rape and wrongful restraint in her complaint.

The actress’s lawyer Nitin Satpute has now said that she will go on a hunger strike if the police doesn’t arrest Anurag Kashyap. He also said that they will once again meet with the Versova Police to raise questions.

Payal’s shocking Me Too allegations on the filmmaker have received a mixed response partially due to many celebrities standing up for Kashyap and vouching that he isn’t capable of things he is being accused of. The Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi actress in an interview revealed that Kashyap forced himself on her at his residence and even named a few other actresses alleging that filmmaker received sexual favours from them in return for giving them work.

Anurag Kashyap has brushed of all these claims calling them baseless. In The F.I. R registered against him  Sections 376 (I) (rape), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty,), 341 (wrongful restraint) and 342 (wrongful confinement) of the IPC have been invoked. The filmmaker hasn’t been called in for questioning yet. The F.I.R was filed on Tuesday.
