Payal Ghosh Opens Up On Apologizing To Richa Chadha; Says She Has No Grudge Against Her

Actress Payal Ghosh made headlines when she claimed that filmmaker Anurag Kashyap forced himself upon her and allegedly told her that actresses he has worked with such as Richa Chadha, Huma Qureshi and Mahie Gill are just a call away. This did not go down well with Richa who felt that she was being dragged in a defamatory manner into this controversy. She took legal action for the same. Well, Richa recently decided she would settle the case with Payal after getting an unconditional apology in front of the Bombay High Court instead of making the latter pay damages.

Talking about the same in a chat with Pinkvilla, Payal shared that Richa was never her case and she apologized because she hurt the Fukrey actress unintentionally. She shared, “High court and even honorable judge were saying that beti you settle this because there is no point to continue with this. Even my lawyer said that this is not your objective and this is not what you have suffered through, so then why to continue it for 5-10 years hampering your work, you’re wasting your time on something which you have nothing to do with.”

Payal went on to add, “She has taken it personally but I will be the last person to defame any woman or anybody. It is not only a matter of female but also male. So I’m not that kind of person, I won’t talk anything bad about anybody. If I have unintentionally hurt someone then what’s wrong with saying sorry to someone? And from day one till today I’ve always said that I have just stated what the conversations I had with Mr Kashyap.”

Payal also stated that Richa jumped into this controversy herself and she has no grudges with the latter, but it was just a pebble in the path.
