Payal Ghosh Slams Anurag Kashyap’s Ex-Wives For Defending Him; Says ‘If He Is Such A Good Person, Why Both Wives Left Him’

Anurag Kashyap was recently accused of sexual harassment by actress Payal Ghosh. She claimed that he allegedly forced himself upon her the second time she visited his house and made her feel uncomfortable. The filmmaker has denied the accusations and has called the allegations against him ‘baseless’. Well many Bollywood celebs have come out in support of Kashyap, along with his ex wives Aarti Bajaj and Kalki Koechlin. While Aarti called the #MeToo allegations against her ex husband as the ‘cheapest stunt’ she has ever seen, Kalki shared a heartfelt note which said ‘don't let this social media circus get to you’.

Well in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Payal opened up about the same and stated, “When he is such a good person, she is defending him, I think she shouldn't have left him. I don’t think a couple who love each other and have respect for each other will just leave for nothing. And his second wife, Kalki, she looks more happy now than when she was with Anurag Kashyap. She also left. If they were happy they shouldn't have left each other. Now, they are coming and defending him, because they have to as that is how the industry works. Or maybe they have some financial connection. I only want to know if he is such a good person, then why both the wives left him and they are living peacefully after that.”

Not only Kashyap’s wives but other celebs such as Taapsee Pannu and Tisca Chopra also came out in support of the filmmaker. Talking about their social media posts, Payal shared that Anurag Kashyap is quite influential in the industry and has many good friends in Bollywood. She explained, “So, when they are friends and they know each other, they won't talk in my support. They will talk in support of their friend. I didn't expect support and I didn’t know them either. So obviously no one will come in support of me. I have the truth with me and I will be with that.”

Payal has reportedly decided to file a complaint against Kashyap. The filmmaker, on the other hand, shared an official press release stating that the actress’ allegations are false and have deeply pained him. Richa Chadha, who was also dragged into the controversy, has taken legal action against Payal.
