Pooja Bhatt Reveals She Used To Hate Soni Razdan For Snatching Her Dad Away, Even Resented Mahesh Bhatt

Mahesh Bhatt is easily one of the most prolific personalities of Bollywood but when it comes to his personal life, it has always been a fairly controversial. Apart from his torrid affair with Parveen Babi, Mahesh Bhatt was first married to Kiran Bhatt (Lorraine Bright) and had two children with her, Pooja Bhatt and Rahul Bhatt. After their split in 1990, Mahesh Bhatt married Soni Razdan and they have two daughters together Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt.

Given the complicated family dynamics, the Bhatts share a warm connection now but that wasn’t always the case. Pooja Bhatt in an old interview had revealed that she resented Mahesh Bhatt for leaving her mom and even hated Soni Razdan. She said, “Initially, I did resent my dad for leaving my mother for another woman. I also used to hate Soni for snatching away dad from us. In fact, there used to be times when I used to flare-up at the very mention of her name.” She also revealed how her mom helped her to be more practical about the situation. Pooja added, “She would tell me not to resent my father for anything for he is basically a good man at heart.”

Today, the Bhatt family shares a warm bond and step-sisters Pooja and Alia are also close to each other.  In fact, Pooja and Alia will be working together in Sadak 2 which will, in fact, be directed by their father Mahesh Bhatt.
