Pratik Gandhi hit the Bull’s Eye with his performance in Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story last year. The actor got both acclaim and recognition for playing the stockbroker in the biographical drama and the applause continued well into this year as his performance was set as a benchmark against which Abhishek Bachchan was being judged in Big Bull.

The Bollywood film also inspired by Harshad Mehta’s story released digitally this year and people couldn’t help but compare the two projects. Despite being an entirely different project, Big Bull faced additional pressure for releasing after Scam 1992.

Pratik who catapulted to stardom with the web series responded to the comparisons with Abhishek in Big Bull and told India.com, “I personally feel no individuals can be compared with each other. We are individuals, not products. Agar aap do cream biscuits khate hain toh bata sakte hain ki konsa zada acha hai, but how do you compare two individuals. That’s my opinion.”

The further added, “I am sure the audience seeing two people playing similar characters will definitely compare the performances that you can’t stop. Honestly, I hadn’t thought in my wildest dreams that I’ll be compared to somebody like Abhishek Bachchan. We started shooting Scam and after around three weeks, The Big Bull got announced.”

The actor will next be seen in the Gujarati web series Vitthal Teedi.
