The world might have been hoping for a better 2021, but that seems to have been marred after a new strain of coronavirus has been found in the UK. Most of the people affected by the coronavirus in the UK have this new strain and, as a cautionary measure, movement from the country has been limited. This move also seems to have affected Bollywood as well.

Global actress Priyanka Chopra was in the UK shooting for her new film, Text For You. She has been there for almost a month now. Now, she and the entire team seems to have been stuck there and the team is making all efforts for their quick return to the US. A source, quoted by Mid Day, said, "The producers have halted production at the moment. Their top priority is to ensure the safe return of the cast and crew. Special permissions are being sought to travel back to the US, but the procedure may take longer than usual with the lockdown rules becoming stricter than ever before. It is possible that Priyanka and the rest of the unit will have to stay put in the UK for a while."

Aftab Shivdasani too is stuck after he had gone to the UK for a holiday. Talking to the daily, he said, "We are in the process of finalising the dates for the project. It won't roll before January though. We weren't going to public places anyway because our daughter is young. We didn't want to take a risk."

Neena Gupta and Kalki Koechlin starrer Goldfish was supposed to go on floors in January 2021, and the first schedule was to take place in the UK. Now, the future of the project too is hanging. Neena Gupta informed, "We were supposed to start shooting by January-end. Now, the makers are waiting for things to settle down. Unless the situation stabilises, we will stay put."

We wonder what this new trouble would mean for Bollywood.
