Priyanka Chopra Celebrates 12 Years Of Fashion; Calls It One Of Her First Truly Immersive Acting Jobs

Global icon Priyanka Chopra has been a part of many super hit films in her 20 year long career and has successfully won our hearts each time she shined on-screen. But her spectacular performance in Madhur Bhandarkar’s 2008 drama Fashion left fans speechless. There’s just one word for it-- glorious! Also starring Kangana Ranaut and Mugdha Godse, the film not only gave us a hefty dose of glamour but also explored the real and dark side of the Indian fashion industry. The masterpiece completed 12 years on 29^th October.

Celebrating the milestone achieved by her film, Priyanka took to her official social media handle to share a special video as a part of her #20in20 series. Along with the clip, she penned a heartfelt caption that read: “It was 2008. I was just about 5 years into my acting career and had already seen extreme highs and extreme lows in it. I was told taking on this movie could be a risk. But working with the brilliant Madhur Bhandarkar and his incredible team of writers, Ajay Monga, Niranjan Iyengar and Anuraadha Tewari, for almost 6 months before we even started the movie, was one of the most collaborative experiences of my life.”

Priyanka went on to call the film and her experience of bringing Meghna Mathur’s various shades to life one of her first truly immersive acting jobs. Well, the actress is currently busy gearing up for the release of her upcoming film The White Tiger, co-starring Rajkummar Rao. We are sure she’ll be a delight to watch on-screen as always!
