Priyanka Chopra Celebrates Her Father’s 70th Birth Anniversary With A Heartwarming Throwback Video; Watch

Other than being a global icon and one of the most adored actresses of our country, Priyanka Chopra is a family woman who cares for her loved ones over everything else. While her bond with her brother Siddharth and mother Madhu Chopra is absolutely incredible, the actress was exceptionally close to her late father Dr Ashok Chopra, who bid a final adieu to the world in 2013 after a five-year long battle with cancer. She was, is and will always be her ‘Daddy’s lil girl’.

Today, on her father’s 70^th birth anniversary, Priyanka took to her social media handle to share a special throwback video remembering how he was always her biggest cheerleader. The clip is from 2004, when Dr Ashok Chopra accepted the award for best female debut on his daughter’s behalf at the 49^th Filmfare Awards. He had said, “I dedicate this award to those artistes who come from small town. They believe in God, they believe in themselves and by their mere grit and determination and talent, they make their mark. God bless you, Priyanka.”

Along with this heartwarming video, the actress wrote the caption: “My forever cheerleader. You would have been 70 today. Miss you dad.”
