Priyanka Chopra Is A True Desi Girl As She Cheers On Corona Warriors During Janata Curfew; Watch

On 22^nd March, our entire nation observed the ‘Janata Curfew’ from 7am to 9pm which was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as a step to help stop the spread of novel coronavirus. The outbreak of the pandemic has taken over the entire world and so far our country has reported over 397 confirmed positive cases, including 7 deaths. At 5pm yesterday, all citizens of India stepped out into their balconies to clap their hands or ring bells as encouragement for those in essential services who are working hard, fighting against COVID-19.

Many Bollywood celebs like Deepika Padukone, Varun Dhawan and Kartik Aaryan among others shared videos of themselves taking part in the clapping initiative. Global icon Priyanka Chopra, who is not in India at the moment, also shared a special post in which she can be seen clapping her hands to cheer the corona warriors. Along with the short clip, she wrote: “People around the world have shown their appreciation for the doctors, nurses and all the first responders battling Covid-19 by clapping on their balconies. Although I could not be India to join, I am there in spirit #jantacurfewindia.”
