Priyanka Chopra Recalls Playing A Self-Serving Predator In Aitraaz As The Film Completes 16 Years, Reveals What It Taught Her

Priyanka Chopra who has been celebrating her 20 years in the entertainment business has often been seen reminiscing about her early days and sharing posts about her most memorable projects. As her film, Aitraaz completes 16 years since its release the actress took a trip down memory lane and called her character Sonia her ‘boldest’.

Sharing a video with many glimpses from the Abbas Mastan film that released back in 2004 Priyanka says that the film taught her how to unapologetic about the characters she playing since she had to show no remorse being a sexual predator in this one.

In her note where she also tagged Aitraaz co-stars Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka wrote, “ 2004, one year into being an actor, I played Sonia Roy in the Abbas-Mastan thriller Aitraaz. It was by far the boldest part I had taken on … wicked, predatory, complicated and self serving for the most part, but also surprisingly vulnerable and emotional. Playing Sonia taught me to play my characters with conviction not judgment.”

Priyanka Chopra won two Filmfare nominations for her role in Aitraaz and went on to win the award for Best Actor in a negative role. She also won at many other awards for her performance in the movie while solidifying her position as a great performer in Bollywood.
