Miss World 2000: Priyanka Remembers 1st Thing Her Mom Said
Global icon Priyanka Chopra has worked very hard to reach where she is today. Not only is she a sought-after actress in the Hindi film industry, but is also one of the most popular and adored celebrities in the world. Well, the beauty completes 20 successful years in the entertainment industry in 2020 and to honor the occasion she decided to look back at 20 of the most monumental moments in her journey. It all began with the Femina Miss India contest of 2000, where she finished second and went on to win Miss World 2000.
It was a proud moment for all of us when PeeCee was crowned Miss World 2000 at the age of 18, exactly 20 years ago. The actress took a walk down memory lane last night and shared a clip from the special day along with a video of her and her mother remembering the crowning moment. Revealing the first thing her mother Madhu Chopra said to her after she became Miss World, Priyanka shared: “Miss World, 2000. Picture this... I just turned 18 and won Miss World!! When I finally reunited with my parents among all the chaos on stage, the first thing my mom said to me was “babe, what’s going to happen with your studies?” #IndianMom #20in2020.”
Well, we are as proud of Priyanka as we were 20 years ago and can’t wait to see what our Desi Girl does next!
