Priyanka Chopra To Be Honored With The Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award By UNICEF For Her Humanitarian Efforts

A global icon, refined artist, glamour queen- there are so many titles we honor Priyanka Chopra with, but the one that truly defines her as a person is her humanitarian efforts. Priyanka has been working towards different social causes around the globe and she has been associated with UNICEF for a long time and is now will be receiving a prestigious award from the organization.

Priyanka took to Instagram to share the news. She posted a picture of herself from her UNICEF tour of Ethiopia recently and captioned the picture, “so incredibly humbled. Thank you @unicefusa for honouring me with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award at the UNICEF Snowflake Ball in December! My work with @unicef on behalf of all the world's children means everything to me.. Here’s to peace freedom and the right to education.. #ForEveryChild.” As mentioned in the post, Priyanka will receive the award at the UN Snowflake Ball.

Priyanka has been associated with UNICEF for a long time and became the National Ambassador of UNICEF from India in 2010. She often tours some of the remotest and hard-hit parts of the globe to spread awareness about child rights and girl child education. Before her, personalities like Sachin Tendulkar, David Beckham, Sania Mirza have been the recipients of the prestigious award.
