Ace Bollywood choreographer, Saroj Khan, passed away today at 1:52 am after suffering from cardiac arrest. She was 72 years old. The mortal remains of the choreographer had been brought to the Ahle Sunnat Cemetery in Malad. She has now been laid to rest.

She was buried in the Malad kabrastan and her last rites were performed by her son Raju Khan, who is also a choreographer. Her daughter, Sukaina told PTI, "We buried her at around 7 am. The prayer meeting will be held after three days." That means the prayer meet would take place on Monday.

Saroj Khan was admitted to Guru Nanak Hospital in Bandra on 20th June after she complained of breathing trouble. Her mandatory COVID test result was negative. She suffered from severe diabetes and her kidney was also apparently affected. Her son had earlier said that she was recovering and might be discharged in a few days as well. The news that she is no more, therefore, comes as a shock to us.

She is survived by son Raju Khan and daughter Sukaina Khan. She had won the National Award thrice and had choreographed some of the most iconic songs of Bollywood. Many Bollywood celebs also mourned the huge loss. Rest in peace, Saroj Khan.
