R. Madhavan To Replace Saif Ali Khan Opposite Rani Mukerji In Bunty Aur Babli Sequel

Back in 2005, when Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan starrer Bunty Aur Babli, directed by Shaad Ali, hit the screens, it almost immediately became a much-adored film. Thus, we were absolutely stoked when the news of a sequel of Bunty Aur Babli came out.

It was initially reported that while Rani Mukerji would be retained from the original cast, Saif Ali Khan would play the lead opposite her in the second installment. However, it is now being reported that Saif has been replaced by R. Madhavan for the film.  A source close to the development informed, “After Saif informed the makers that he wanted to step out of Bunty Aur Babli 2.0, they were on the lookout for a suitable actor, and Madhavan fit the bill perfectly. He loved the script and came on board immediately. The film went on floors last week.” While we love Saif, it is safe to presume that we will never get tired of watching Maddy on screen.

Apart from Rani and Madhavan, MC Sher a.k.a Siddhant Chaturvedi would also be a part of the project. The film is being directed by debutante Varun S Sharma who had penned down the script for Salman Khan’s Bharat and had been an assistant director for Ranveer Singh’s Kill Dill which was directed by Shaad Ali as well.
