Radhika Apte Lost Out On Vicky Donor Because Of This Reason

Radhika Apte who featured in Andha Dhun alongside Aayushmann Khurana recently disclosed on a chat show that she would have been the leading lady of Shoojit Sircar's Vicky Donor (2012) instead of Yami Gautam but lost out on the role due to her weight. Suprising enough?

According to the Mumbai Mirror Report, Radhika Apte revealed that she was "overweight by a few kilos". Radhika said, "I had gone on a holiday for a month, drank a lot of beer, ate loads of food. I told them that I'll come back and lose it. But they did not want to take a chance,

. Ayushmann Khurrana, who also appeared on the show with her co-star Radhika, stated that since he was quite skinny at the time of Vicky Donor, their pairing might not have worked.

Radhika also revealed that after the rejection from Vicky Donor, she became really conscious about the food she ate and her weight. She added "I don't get affected by rejection at work, but the weight thing really messed with my head,"

But according to the old saying, what’s meant to happen, will always happen. Destiny had plans to bring both these versatile actors together on screen and years later Radhika and Ayushmann were seen together in  Andhadhun (2018) which became a blockbuster in Bollywood.

Radhika, who was last seen in the film Bombairiya, will now be starred opposite to Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Raat Akeli Hai. while, Ayushmann is gearing up for the release of Anubhav Sinha's Article 15, which will hit the theatres this Friday (June 28).
