    Radhika Madan On Losing The Filmfare Trophy For Best Debut: It's Not Like I Won't Go If I'm Not Winning

    Actress Radhika Madan is just two films old. She debuted on the big screen with Vishal Bharadwaj’s critically acclaimed film Pataakha and post that she was seen in Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota opposite Abhimanyu Dassani. In both, the films her role was appreciated big time by the critics. However, her second film didn’t work any wonders at the box office and failed to impress the public.

    Having said that, her role and performance achieved rave reviews from the critics and the actress earned herself a nomination in the much-coveted Filmfare awards. She was nominated for 'Best Actress Critics' and 'Best Female Debut' for her debut film Pataakha, and also for 'Critics Award for Best Actor Female' for her second film, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota.

    It was during a recent media interaction, Radhika opened up about how she felt when she was not awarded for the role in spite of being appreciated and she also shed light on whether the awards are fixed or not.

    The actress displayed her care two hoots attitude as she said winning all awards doesn’t really concern her. She has received one award and that is more than enough for her. Quipped she, “Mil jaaye tab theek hai, nahi mile tab theek hai. Mai iska stress leti nahi hu. Star screens mei mila hi tha, toh abh koi aur naa mile toh theek hi hai. Till the time my work is appreciated, I'm sorted" she said.

    She further went on to reveal that what matters to her is the nomination. She stated, "For me, nominations are also a big deal. I remember I was nominated in the 'Best Actress Critics' category and 'Best Female Debut' category, and I celebrated that. For my parents, my family and me it is a very big deal that we are sitting with such people. Toh award mile naa mile, ghar aake bohot acche se celebrate kiya tha maine. Nominations celebrate karlo"

    She was further asked whether she takes these award function seriously or no she said, she doesn’t stress over it. She stated, "I'm neutral. Neither am I anti, now am I for. It's not like I won't go if I'm not winning. I take it light; I don't stress a lot."
