Radhika Madan Reveals Why She Didn’t Get Student Of The Year 2 Despite Auditioning

The gorgeous and talented Radhika Madan began her journey in the entertainment industry in 2014 with the hit television show Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi. She made her debut in Bollywood 4 years later with Vishal Bhardwaj’s Pataakha and went on to win the audiences’ heart with her performances in films such as Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota and the most recently released Angrezi Medium. Well, did you know Radhika also auditioned for Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 2?

Talking about the same in a chat with Bollywood Life, the beauty revealed, “I did audition for Dharma. I gave them the worst audition of myself because I was so scared. I auditioned for Student of the Year, but I had got fever and performed and I gave the worst audition of my life. So, I won't blame a Dharma for not casting me. It was my call, I got an opportunity, but I didn't perform and tagged myself out.” In an earlier interview, the actress had stated that she did not get the role because a star kid had already bagged it.

Radhika also opened up about the insiders vs outsiders debate which came back into the limelight after actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise. She stated that as an actor, her job is to just ask for an audition. Recalling how she got Pataakha and Angrezi Medium, Radhika shared that she literally went to the producers and asked them to let her audition and feels that’s the most outsiders can do. She went on to add, “You need to stop cribbing and start working on yourself. There's a situation, accept it and move on. Will it change? I don't know. In the meantime though, can we just utilise this time by not complaining and working on ourselves.”

Well, we are absolutely loving Radhika’s positive attitude. The beauty will next feature in Kunal Deshmukh’s romantic drama Shiddat opposite Vicky Kaushal’s brother, the very talented Sunny Kaushal.
