Raj Kundra case: Gehana Vasisth takes his side, says 'no way you can call it porn, these are normal bold erotic films'

It has been a few months since Gehana Vasisth was arrested and released later for making pornographic films. The actress also had allegations of gang rape, but she was acquitted later by the court. She has now sided and shown support to Raj Kundra, who was also arrested for allegedly producing pornographic films.

Talking to HT, Gehana who has also worked for the platform said, “First of all there’s no censorship on digital platforms, whatever people want, they’re making. But whatever videos that we’ve made for the app, in no way can you call it porn. We all know what porn is, but we were not doing porn. One needs to watch these videos first and then call them porn. These are the same category of content that other big OTT platforms make. But when we don’t target them, why target me, why target Raj Kundra?”

She added, “How can you say we make porn? We’re in fact making what the other big apps are making. Why are they tagged as bold and ours is called porn? These are normal bold erotic films.”

When asked about the three projects that Gehana did for the app, she said, “Mujhse wahi kaam karaya gaya hai jo script di gayi thi. I was paid in full what was promised and none of those films were in the category of porn. This is a trap and we are being framed.”

Gehana was arrested in February and she was later released. Raj Kundra was arrested on the 19th of July and has been remanded till 23rd July. YouTuber Puneet Kaur and model turned actress Poonam Pandey had opened up against the businessman.
