Rajkummar Rao Calls The White Tiger Co-Star Priyanka ‘Phenomenal’; Feels He’s An Actor Because Of Shah Rukh

Take a look at his upcoming film for instance. Rajkummar will next be seen in Ramin Bahrani’s The White Tiger, a drama film adapted from Aravind Adiga's 2008 novel. Also starring global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Adarsh Gourav in his first lead role, the film will premiere on Netflix on 22^nd January.

The White Tiger marks Rajkummar and Priyanka’s first project together and fans couldn’t have been happier! The same goes for Raj, who thinks PeeCee in phenomenal. In a chat with ETimes, the actor opened up about his experience of working with the actress. He shared, “Priyanka is phenomenal. She is a very chilled out person, a global star who never made us feel that she was the biggest star on our set. I have always been a big admirer of her work. It's fun to work with great actors as it enhances your performance and Priyanka did just that to me. She even helped me out in my scenes. I look forward to working with her more and hopefully, it will happen soon.”

But that’s not all! Raj also spoke about being a big Shah Rukh Khan fan and revealed what it is about the superstar that inspires him. Rajkummar stated, “I am an actor because of Shah Rukh sir. Seeing him on screen made me want to join the industry because I could connect with his journey.” He went on to add that SRK taught him that if you have a dream and if you’re ready to work hard, the dream will come true. Rajkummar went on to add, “We all know how charming he is and how he makes everyone feel special. There is so much to learn from him be it on-screen or off it.”
