Rajkummar Rao Reveals Which Character He Will Play When The Worlds Of Roohi And Stree Converge

Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor left the audience pleasantly surprised when they shared the big screen in Stree. While their chemistry made us go ‘aww’, the horror comedy left us with goosebumps, in splits. Well, the actor will now shine on the silver screen with Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma in the upcoming film Roohi, which is being called Stree’s ‘crazier sister’ by producer Dinesh Vijan. This is the second film in his ambitious horror universe, which will also feature the prequel and sequel of Stree.

But what character will Rajkummar play when these two worlds converge-- Bhanwra from Roohi or Stree’s Vicky? Well much to our delight, the actor answered this very question in his interview with Mid Day. Rajkummar shared, “I was Vicky in Stree, and in Roohi, I play a character called Bhanwra. Dinoo’s bigger plan is to have a film or two with both characters. So, it sounds like a double role is in the offing.” Now that sounds quite exciting!

Rajkummar shared that Stree was a path-breaking film so when Roohi came his way, he knew he had to do it. The actor also revealed that initially the team did not expect Stree to fare as well as it did. But being an actor, he never takes pressure to deliver on commercials. Instead, he focuses on his art. Well, it has successfully worked to his benefit so far! We are now eagerly waiting to watch Roohi in cinemas on 11^th March.
