Raksha Bandhan: Groundwork For Akshay Kumar's Film Begins, Set To Be Created In Film City By April

Akshay Kumar would be shooting back to back this entire year, and maybe next year, thanks to the lineup that he has.It was just a day back that he posted a picture with the team of Ram Setu and announced that the script reading session for the film has begun. However, before shooting this one, he would complete Aanand L. Rai's Raksha Bandhan. And looks like the groundwork of the film has already started.

If a report in Mid Day is to be believed, then Rai has already instructed the production team to build a set in Film City. A source revealed, “A set of a Mumbai chawl is being created at Film City. The production design team has been instructed to build the set by mid-April. By then, Akshay will have wrapped up his portions of Bachchan Pandey and will turn his attention to the family drama.” He also added, “Unlike Akshay’s past few movies, Raksha Bandhan is an emotional drama and will showcase him in a different light.”

It was earlier reported that Akshay Kumar would begin shooting for Raksha Bandhan from April end. The actor has a number of films lined up for release including Sooryavanshi, which would hopefully release in April, Bell Bottom which is lined up for May 28th, Prithviraj which will release on Diwali this year, Atrangi Re which will hit theatres in December and Bachchan Pandey. He has also signed Ram Setu and is said to have given his nod for Jagan Shakti's next, Mission Lion.
