Rakul Preet Singh Opens Up About Her COVID Journey; Will Resume Mayday Shooting From 2nd January

Rakul Preet Singh jumped right into work as soon as the lockdown was lifted and authorities gave a green light to resume shooting. She began filming her next romantic comedy with Arjun Kapoor and recently jetted off to Hyderabad to kick-start the shoot of Mayday, co-starring Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan. However, weeks after the shoot began, Rakul tested positive for coronavirus. Well day before yesterday, the actress took to her official social media handle to announce that she has recovered and her latest test reports are negative.

In a chat with BT, Rakul opened up about her COVID journey and shared that when she tested positive, she kept telling herself that it’s no big deal and kept a positive mindset. She explained that she believes a positive mind attracts positive energy. Rakul made sure that she was eating good, healthy and nutritious food and hence didn’t have to take many medicines. She said, “I attribute my speedy recovery to my healthy lifestyle and positive outlook.”

Talking about resuming shoot, the actress stated, “The good part is that I am done with COVID this year. I had my fingers and toes crossed that I test negative before the 31st (laughs!). I will be resuming shoot on January 2. I am not travelling as I don’t want to tire myself because I won’t get a break once I start shooting as I have already lost 10 days.” Rakul’s mother flew down to Hyderabad when she tested positive and her father is with her too. So now the actress plans to ring in the New Year with her family and loved ones.
