    Amidst the lockdown imposed across the country due to the coronavirus pandemic, there have been several videos that have surfaced online where police can be trying to urge people in the streets to go home. While there are several concerns raised by netizens over such videos where police can be seen beating people with lathis on being found loitering around.


    Well, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma might have a different view on how people stepping should be dealt with by the police. Sharing a video of traffic police begging people at the signals to stay at home he wrote, ‘I request the police not to be friendly. Otherwise, the public will sit on your head.’


    In the video the police is also seen breaking into tears with his hands joined as people just pass him by not willing to adhere to his repeated requests. Several fans of the filmmaker commented on his tweet agreeing with his thoughts.

    The coronavirus crisis led Prime Minister Narendra Modi to announce a nationwide lockdown for 21 days till 14 April, 2020. The announcement created widespread panic as people rushed to grocery stores to stack up necessities. Several Bollywood celebs have since become proactive in asking people to stay in and not panic and also spread government directives.
