Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar has been extremely busy ever since the lockdown lifted. May it be ad shoots or back to back filming of much awaited projects such as Bell Bottom, Atrangi Re, Bachchan Pandey and Prithviraj-- the actor has not had a minute to himself. Well, currently he is in Maldives with his family, taking a much deserved break. However, latest reports suggest that Akshay will dive right back into work this week to kick off the launch of his next film, Ram Setu.

According to a report shared by Hindustan Times, Akshay will fly to Ayodhya on 18th March for the mahurat shot of the film. It was producer Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s idea to start the Ram Setu journey from Lord Ram’s birth place. Talking about Akshay’s character, director Abhishek Sharma revealed, “Akshay sir plays an archaeologist and his look and character is inspired by several Indian and international professional archaeologists who work in the field. In terms of both look and character, Akshay sir’s fans are in for a totally new avatar of his.”

Other than Akshay, the much awaited film also stars two leading ladies, the gorgeous and talented Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha. While the two will be playing strong, independent women with well-etched roles, their looks have been kept under wraps for now. The report further reveals that 80% of the film will be shot in Mumbai, spread across several schedules in the coming months.
