Ram Setu: Akshay Kumar to resume shoot from September? Read deets

Akshay Kumar is on a roll. The actor has several films in his kitty and as soon as the lockdown was lifted, he resumed with the shoot of Aanand L. Rai's Raksha Bandhan. Before the lockdown happened, he had contracted COVID and this was while shooting for Ram Setu. So when would he shoot for this film then? We might have an answer.

If reports are to be believed, then Akshay would resume the shoot of Ram Setu in September. According to a report in ETimes, the makers are choosing post-monsoon since the shoot would mostly be in the open. The source also added that the film might not be shot in Sri Lanka as had been planned earlier because of the country's quarantine rules. “It is definitely a challenge for any actor to stay locked up without work in isolation. Akshay is raring to go, so there is every chance the shooting may take place soon and to avoid quarantine related delays, the film might be shot in cheat locations that could make up for Sri Lanka,” the source added.

Akshay Kumar had announced Ram Setu on Diwali last year. The film, which also stars Nushrrat Bharuccha and Jacqueline Fernandez was being shot in Mumbai, before Akshay Kumar contracted Covid. The sets were also dismantled.
