Ram Setu: South Actors Satyadev, Nassar Roped In For The Akshay Kumar Starrer; Makers Target Diwali 2022 Release

Soon after Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar began shooting for his action adventure film Ram Setu, he contracted coronavirus. The actor was hospitalized and the shoot came to an abrupt halt. Recently it was reported that Akshay has now recovered and the team will resume shoot in June in Mumbai. While Akshay is playing the role of an archaeologist, the film features Nushrratt Bharuccha as his on-screen wife and will see Jacqueline Fernandez as his team member. According to latest buzz, two South stars have now been roped in.

A report shared by Pinkvilla revealed that actors Satyadev and Nassar have now come on-board. A source was quoted saying, “Ram Setu is among the most ambitious films of Akshay Kumar and the team is going all out to ensure an able cast on board the film. The two south names have signed on to play key roles in Ram Setu, and will start shooting with Akshay soon. While the details of their character have been kept under wraps, but it’s said to be a well meaty and well sketched role.”

The team is expected to travel to Sri Lanka post shooting in Mumbai. The source further shared, “After wrapping up the shoot, even the post-production will take time as the story demands use of visual effects. The makers are targeting a Diwali 2022 opening.” Sadly, it is still not clear when shooting will be allowed again by the Maharashtra government amid the coronavirus pandemic.
