Rana Daggubati Remembers Shooting For Dum Maaro Dum With Prateik Babbar; Calls It The Best Shoot Of His Life

The very handsome Rana Daggubati is undoubtedly one of the most talented and sought-after actors of the Indian film industry. While he has worked predominantly in the South industry, he is also a superstar in Bollywood and his performances in films like Baby and The Ghazi Attack were absolutely spectacular. The actor began his journey in the Hindi film industry with Dum Maaro Dum in 2011 as DJ Joaquim ‘Joki’ Fernandes and won the audiences’ hearts with his fresh on-screen presence and acting.

Remembering his first Bollywood film in a chat with Mumbai Mirror, Rana shared, “Dum Maaro Dum was set in Goa, with just Prateik (Babbar) and me there along with Rohan (Sippy) during the first week of the shoot. I'd been hanging out with them for a while during the training and since we were around the same age, it turned out to be the best film shoot of my life. For my first shot, it was just Prateik and me enjoying ourselves at a carnival. And for the first five days, it was only that, after which the main work started.”

Also featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu and Aditya Pancholi, Dum Maaro Dum was directed by Rohan Sippy. The powerful performances in the film were applauded by fans as well as critics and the action thriller eventually turned out to be a sleeper hit.
