Ranbir-Alia's Brahmastra Not Releasing This Christmas, Find Out How Long The Wait Is Going To Be

Just when we thought the wait was over! For all Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt fans, we have some bad news for you. The release date of Brahmastra has been pushed further and now the film will release in the summers of 2020.

Karan Johar recently shared a letter on Twitter from Ayan Mukerji who has explained why the release is being delayed. In the letter Ayan has mentioned that the VFX team will need some more time to make sure that everything is perfect.

He has also mentioned how Brahmastra has been his dream project and how he has been toiling since 2013 to make this a film that everyone can be proud of. 

Interestingly, Brahmastra was supposed to clash with Salman's Dabangg 3 on Christmas and by pushing the release date further they would be avoiding this mega clash. Interestingly, with the shuffling of dates, now it would be Akshay Kumar v/s Salman Khan, with Dabbang 3 releasing on 20th December and Good News' new release date being 27th December. 

In the letter, Ayan has also mentioned that they will announce the specific release date once everything is sorted.

Well, we are not exactly thrilled about having to wait so much but we respect Ayan's efforts to make evrything perfect. If anything, this is making us more excited about the film. Summer 2020 come fast now!
