Ranbir Kapoor- Alia Bhatt Starrer Brahmastra To Release By December 2021? Here's What We Know

Brahmastra can easily be passed off as a film that has been jinxed for God knows what reason. The film was announced five years back in 2017 and for two years, it's struggling to release in theatres. Initially lined up for a Sunner 2019 release, its plan of release date announcement this year was also delayed after lead actor Ranbir Kapoor tested positive for the novel coronavirus. But, it looks like the makers have decided and also have a deadline for release on their minds.

It is now being said that the film would definitely hit the theatres by December 2021. Some portion of the shoot is still left to be completed and this film would also be heavy on VFX. But, a source assured Bollywood Hungama, “Brahmastra will be released this year. The last schedule has got a bit delayed after Ranbir Kapoor tested positive for Coronavirus. But it is expected to get done within 3-4 weeks. Soon, the team of the film will be fully focusing on post-production and getting the film ready for release. It will release post-Diwali, probably in November-end or in the first or second week of December. A decision has been taken and the makers will soon announce the same.”

The release date would have reportedly been announced with an event last week, had Ranbir Kapoor not tested positive for COVID-19. We are eagerly waiting for the film's release.
