For quite some time now, reports of Nitesh Tiwari making Ramayana had been doing the rounds. This would be a huge project mounted on a super big-budget (read 750 crores INR!). So obviously, the expectations from the film are sky high and everyone has been looking forward to who would be playing the titular characters. It has been reported that Ranbir Kapoor has been roped in as Ram while Hrithik Roshan will play Ravana. Now, the moolah they will be paid for the role is out as well.

If a report in Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, then Ranbir Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan would both be paid a staggering 75 crores INR for their respective roles. Given it would be a trilogy, the amount doesn't feel that much, does it.

We wonder what the ladies in the film would be paid, and when their names would be announced. Reports did the rounds that Deepika had been approached for the role, but there has been no confirmation. However, in an earlier interview, producer Madhu Mantena had said that the cast names would be revealed by Diwali. The film will reportedly go on floors by 2022.
