Randeep Hooda Opens Up About His Leg Surgery, Reveals He Shot For Extraction By Taking Painkillers

Randeep Hooda recently got a surgery done. The actor was seen outside a hospital in Mumbai and fans and well-wishers, quite obviously, had been worried, especially because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The actor had a leg surgery and now he is fine. He also opened up about it in a recent interview.

Interacting with TOI, he revealed that he had a major accident 12 years back while playing polo and metal plates had to be inserted on his leg to keep the bones in place. He developed an infection because of that. He said, "In all these years, my leg would pain occasionally, especially if it was hit by something but painkillers would keep the pain at bay. Two years ago, while rehearsing the action scenes for Extraction, the leg got infected. A lot of movie action was done by me on painkillers. I didn’t want to tell anyone because people get too careful around you. I decided to have an elective surgery to end the trauma once and for all. Also there was no shooting because of Covid-19; I didn’t have to be physically present anywhere so I thought this was a good time to go for it. I went to the hospital early in the morning and the operation was scheduled for the same day. The surgery also helped me get rid of some of the backache that I have been carrying for 12 years. That’s the history of my injury. I have got a good phase of action movies coming up. I also wanted to be fit for that and look after my body more. I didn’t want the pain to resurrect."

He is currently recovering and thanks to the pandemic, he is getting ample time to rest as well. He will next be seen in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai where he would play the antagonist and would fight head-on with Salman Khan's character. We hope that he is pain free after this!
