Rangoli Chandel Reveals That Kangana Ranaut Was Offered Saand Ki Aankh As Neena Gupta Probes Ageism Issues In Bollywood

The Kangana Ranaut – Taapsee Pannu battle has been intensifying on Twitter for a while and now Rangoli Chandel has managed throw some ‘ghee’ in to the mix. Kangana Ranaut’s sister and manager, Rangoli has now claimed that Saand Ki Aankh was initially offered to Kangana. She further added that Kangana turned down the film as she thought older actors like Neena Gupta and Ramya Krishna should do the film.

The revelation came as a response to Neena Gupta’s comment that probed the ageism and sexism debate in Bollywood. Some netizens have questioned why older actors were not considered for the role of the shooter dadis instead of these two young actors. Neena Gupta, who has always been a bold voice about several issues also seemed to be bothered by the casting and tweeted this:

Well, the trailer of the film has already come out and the netizens have been divided into two blocs. While there are some who are lauding the trailer, there are some who are not too crazy about these two playing Chandro and Prakashi Tomar and are arguing why older actresses could not have played the role instead.
