Rani Mukerji and team unable to get visas for Norway; Mrs Chatterjee VS Norway to now be shot in Estonia?

it was just a few days back that reports of Rani Mukerji flying out to Norway had been making the rounds. Rani would be seen in the film Mrs. Chatterjee VS Norway and the makers of the film wanted to keep everything as authentic as possible. Since Norway is an important setting, the makers wanted to shoot the film in Norway itself. However, that plan seems to have hit a roadblock.

According to a report in Mid Day, director Ashima Chibber will now head to Estonia with the cast and crew of the film. A source was quoted saying, “Norway was producer Nikkhil Advani and the director’s original choice. They wanted to be as true to the source material as possible. But getting visas for the team was proving to be a cumbersome task in the current circumstances. The makers did not want to wait too long as it’s a prep-heavy film. So, they decided to shoot in Estonia in a bio-bubble after the necessary permissions were procured by Emmay Entertainment and Zee Studios.”

The film would be based on the 2011 incident when a mother fought out against an entire nation when she was deemed unfit to take care of her child. The film will be shot in a 45 days start-to-finish schedule and Rani Mukerji is expected to wrap up shoot by October.
