Rani Mukherjee Says, ‘She Has Been Lucky To Have Received The Right Script At The Right Time’.

There is no doubt that Rani Mukherji is one of the finest actors of Bollywood, and while she never fails to amaze us with her outstanding performances on screen, we have one more surprise in store for you in the form of the cop drama film, Mardaani 2. In her last movie Hichki, the actress had impressed us with her amazing performance. The film depicted the story of a teacher with Tourette Syndrome and the movie managed to do well both in India as well as abroad. In a recent interview with ANI, the actress said that she is happy with the film's success.

"I'm grateful and humbled that Hichki won the hearts of audiences in India, in China and worldwide. I'm picking films that appeal to my heart, that appeal to me as an actor," said Rani. The actress also said that she has been fortunate as she is getting to choose the scripts she likes. She is picking stories that have a social message and at the same time work well at the box office.  ‘I have enjoyed telling a story to the audience because if you are making a socially relevant film, we are making it for the audience," the Hichki actress said.

Talking about how Mardaani was about creating awareness and ask people to keep their eyes and ears open, the actress revealed how these things came to her as learning too as she read the script. With Mardaani we got to tell people how the menace of child trafficking exists in our lives even though we don't want to see it but it is rampant around us. In Mardaani 2, we will again tackle a subject that will be shocking; it will show something very real, very alarming to audiences and make them aware of what's happening in and around our lives."

 In Mardaani 2, Rani Mukerji will play the role of a tough police officer. The movie is Directed by Gopi Puthran, and the film is expected to release by the end of this year. Directed by Gopi Puthran, Mardaani 2 is expected to release by the end of this year.
