Ranveer Singh Broke Down After Kabir Khan Finished Filming The ’83 Grand Final For Their Film!

Ranveer Singh is known be one of the most committed actors, who tried to penetrate into the skin of all the characters that he plays. Be it playing the evil Khilji or the intense Ram or the great warrior Bajirao, he has excelled in every film. Now that he would be seen portraying Kapil Dev on-screen, he had invested himself for that as well.

He recently wrapped up the shoot of ’83 and in all the pictures, he looked excited and super happy. And now, in a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, ’83 director Kabir Khan has said yet again how much Ranveer was into the character. The director revealed that when the historic final was shot and he had shouted ‘cut’, Ranveer could not contain himself and broke down. He said,

“We shot for five days at the Lord’s stadium in London, entering the members only Long Room where no camera had ventured before, the dressing rooms and locker rooms, then, stepped out on the balcony where the World Cup was presented to Kapil sir. And guess what? They brought out the real World Cup for Ranveer (Singh, who is playing Kapil Dev in the film) too. Overwhelmed, he broke down when I shouted “Cut”.”

In fact, he went on to reveal that many legends were present to see the filming of this final and the moment of pride for India. Clive Llyod, whose son plays him in the film, was present to support him and refused to come closer during the shoot as he couldn’t bear to see the cup being given away a second time.

We just can’t wait for the film to release.
