Ranveer Singh Reveals How He Wooed Deepika Padukone; Opens Up About Being Her Kitchen Assistant

One of the most adored couples of Tinsel Town, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the nuptial knot in a fairytale wedding at Lake Como in November 2018 after dating for almost 6 long years. The love birds are happily married and are currently spending lots of quality time together amid the nationwide lockdown. They have also been pretty active on social media and every now and then share sneak peeks of their quarantine routine with fans. Much to our delight, Ranveer opened up about their courtship period in a live chat hosted by Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri last night and some saucy secrets were revealed!

Ranveer used to bring Deepika her favorite flowers almost every time he picked her up at the airport or met her during shoots. Talking about the same, he shared, “I knew that she loves flowers and she loves lilies in particular. About 6 months into dating I knew that she was the one, and I wanted her to be mine for life. So I was very very diligent about courting her and wooing her. So every time she’d come, there would be flowers and I would make ridiculously compressed trips to go and meet her and she was shooting somewhere else. So, in a nutshell you could say that I worked very hard in trying to get her to consider marrying me.”

Sunil went on to add that Ranveer had promised that he’ll cook for Deepika one day and the actress is still waiting for that day to come. Ranveer then revealed that when he was trying to impress Deepika and his family, he had told them that he used to cook really tasty butter chicken during his college days. But the actor did not know that using the readymade packets to cook does not count. He went on to add that he can only make eggs and since Deepika is such a great cook, he leaves the kitchen duty for her and becomes her enthusiastic assistant. However, Deepika joined the live chat through the comment section and stated that Ranveer can’t even cook eggs. When Ranveer said that he’ll make eggs tomorrow morning, Deepika chimed in from behind: “Show them you can make eggs!”
