Ranveer Singh has been awaiting the release of one of his big projects-- Kabir Khan's '83. The film will recreate the historic win of the Indian cricket team against England at their home ground and Ranveer would play Captain Kapil Dev. The film was scheduled for release in April, until the coronavirus pandemic hit the worlls. It was then decided that the film would be releasing in theatres on Christmas. But that plan seems to have changed now.

According to a report in ETimes, the film has been further postponed to the first quarter of 2021. A source said, "Reliance Entertainment would like to firmly gauge the public response in the on-going pandemic. Most theatres in Maharashtra and especially Mumbai opened only yesterday with Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari and there are no new movies lined up for the next 2 weeks. Before releasing a big film like '83, any producer would prefer a larger sample size to get the right perspective. Essentially, the public numbers need to grow and this will take some more time, stretching to beyond Christmas. Hence, the decision to wait out a bit more."

The same source also added that this won't push the release date of Akshay Kumar led Sooryavanshi further from March next year. He said, "The plan, as of now, is to release both in the first quarter of 2021. But the two films will be decently spaced out as they are from the same production house."
Well, we hope that the films do release soon and the audiences get to see these.
