Ranveer Singh To Play The Lead In Robot's Director Shankar's Next? Here's What We Know...

Ranveer Singh would be having a dhamakedaar 2021 if all goes well. His film '83, which would document India's historic win of the Cricket World Cup in Lord's Stadium in the same year, is all set for release on the 2nd of June. The actor has also wrapped up Jayeshbhai Jordaar and is currently busy shooting for Rohit Shetty's Cirkus. Now, we have learnt that he might have signed a Pan India film, which would be helmed by none other than the director of Rajnikanth starrer Robot, Shankar.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Ranveer Singh has been in talks with the South director for some time now. A source was quoted by the portal saying, "Ranveer Singh did take a break from the shoot of Cirkus around January-end/Early February, and flew down to Chennai to meet Shankar. It's a project that has been put together by Shankar and his team, and they want Ranveer Singh on board as the lead.”

The same report mentions that Ranveer has been keen to do a Pan India film for a long time and it looks like his dream might finally be fulfilled. The talks have been positive so far and if all goes well, an official announcement would be made soon. Shankar recently announced a Pan India project with Ram Charan in the lead.
