Ranveer Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar To Be Arjun Reddy Actress Shalini Pandey’s Bollywood Debut

Ranveer Singh is clearly going through the best phase of his career with both critical acclaim and box-office numbers coming his way. The actor who recently finished shooting for Kabir Khan’s 83 is now working on Yash Raj Film’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar which would be directed by debutante Divyaang Thakkar.

While the work for the film is in full swing, producer Maneesh Sharma has now announced the female lead of the film and the lucky actress is Shalini Pandey. Yes, the actress who became an overnight sensation down south with Arjun Reddy is all set to make her Bollywood debut and that too opposite Ranveer Singh. On her part, Shalini is obviously excited to debut opposite Ranveer and is thoroughly prepping to give it her best.

Talking about her, producer Maneesh Sharma said that Shalini’s audition for the role was so nuanced and spontaneous that they zeroed in on her almost immediately. He also added that Shalini is a very assured actor with a refreshing screen presence and they are completely confident about backing her talent.

The film is going to be a comic entertainer set in the backdrop of Gujarat and will have Ranveer playing a Gujju businessman.
