Rashmika Mandanna Charging A Pretty Penny To Star In Amitabh Bachchan Starrer Deadly After Kriti, Katrina's Exit

Amitabh Bachchan starrer Deadly recently found its leading lady in popular south actress Rashmika Mandanna. The Vikas Bahl movie which has been in the news throughout 2020 for its hunt for the perfect female lead, will now finally go on floors as the buck stopped at Rashmika after going through names like Katrina Kaif and Kriti Sanon.

The latest we hear is that Rashmika’s entry into the project comes at a hefty price. Despite being a fresh face in the Bollywood scene Rashmika is being paid nearly Rs. 5-6 crores for the film according to a Pinkvilla report.

Deadly will be Rashmika’s second Bollywood venture after her recently announced Hindi debut Mission Manju opposite Sidharth Malhotra. Despite her debutante status in the Hindi film industry the makers agreed to pay her the big paycheque as it is in tune with what she charges for her films in the South.

According to a source quoted by the portal, “Ekta wanted a prominent face to star in the film. Vikas offered it to Rashmika who liked the script. But she charges a whopping amount down South. Despite being a newcomer in Bollywood, she is being paid to the tune of Rs 5-6 crore for this film alone. The makers are happy with their decision and have locked her for the film.”

Deadly is reportedly a slice of life comedy exploring a father-daughter bond with the plot centered around a funeral. The official confirmation on Rashmika’s casting is still awaited but reportedly she will wrap up Mission Manju by April 2021 and get on with Deadly immediately after.
