Raveena Tandon Remembers The First Time She Met Salman Khan; Feels There’s A Comfort Factor With Him

One of the most gorgeous and adored actresses of Bollywood, Raveena Tandon has given the industry many super hits in her 29 year long career. She won our hearts with her characters in films like Mohra, Dilwale, Laadla, Andaz Apna Apna, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi and Aks among many others and also left us in awe with one of the biggest chartbusters of the Hindi film industry, Tip Tip Barsa Pani.

Raveena began her journey in the magical land of cinema in 1991, opposite Salman Khan in the hit film Patthar Ke Phool. But do you know how she landed the lead role in G. P. Sippy’s action film? One fine day she got a call from her friend Bunty, who was also a good friend of Salman’s. He asked her to come and say hi to the actor who was in the neighborhood. Little did Raveena know that Salman was looking for a fresh face for his next film and her friend Bunty recommended her for the role.

In a recent interview the actress recalled, “I said yes, my friends were more excited than I was doing a film with Salman Khan and they said, ‘Iske baad tujhe picture nahi karni toh na bol de par yeh to kar’.” Well, we are so glad things worked out and Raveena was introduced to the film industry. Even today the two actors share a strong bond and Raveena feels there's a comfort factor with Salman.

After Patthar Ke Phool, Raveena and Salman went on to work in other films such as Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye, Dus and Andaz Apna Apna. We hope the two actors join forces once again and shine on the big screen sometime soon!
